Yes It Has Been Months, But This Is My Blog Isn't It?

So, yes, a lot has happened in the several months since I last posted. If I do recall, the last post was about my tuition dollars at work and low and behold, I graduated, wrote my action research paper, and have thus received a diploma! Holy shit, I actually did it and did it in my time frame that I set for myself many years ago. Some dreams do come true. Now to work on the whole man, wife, child thing... I digress though.

What else has been going on in mi vida loca? Huh, well I have moved! I love my own space now and have a very cute apartment that I have spent lots of time and money making it my new home. I love having friends over, family over, and I actually love cleaning it every week because it is my mess!

I have started a new school year and to say the least, it has been interesting already. I love my kiddos, but I definitely have some interesting little ones that I wish I could just take home and help them outside of the school setting. Oh well, I know that I can't but a girl can dream, can't she? As for the less fortunate situation in which I work, it hasn't gotten any better, but I look at it that I can make changes in the next year because of that fabulous Master's Degree that was mentioned above. So, one more year and folks, I may be ready for a change!

I just got back from another fabulous girls trip in Vegas with 11 people whom I am blessed to call my friends. We had a great time, in spite of me being sick (yes again!). I have a great group of friends who took care of me and I am so lucky to have, including Cassi, the newest member to the posse! She rocks and I am soooooooooooo happy that she came and that we will see her again soon (I hope)! She pretty much rocks and fits right in with our craziness and confusion! I lurve her!

I think I will call it quits here for the night, but who knows, I might just get off my ass and start blogging a little more frequently since I no longer have the excuse of school work keeping me away from blogs. Let's face it, I am just lazy now! I will leave you with this beautiful shot of our fabulous mountains here this fall!

My Tuition Dollars at Work...

I wish that I could be doing this, shoving pins in my eye, pulling out my toenails one at a time, or any number of other insanely painful things besides sitting in class right now. So, I am looking around my class and noticing that the ONLY person paying any attention to what is going on is the person (not the teacher mind you) that is talking! WTF? Really!? We are all bored and ready to go home. That is what I think, especially since I am carrying on a Facebook conversation with four people in my class. Wait, make that five, just got another instant message. Please hold...

As I toggle back and forth between the four open windows on my computer, I realize that this is so who I am nowadays... addicted to all things technology! Thanks to my "Crackberry", I am constantly on it and it makes things instantly available! Holy shit that is weird, satisfying and scary! I do have to say that I love it though. Look, the person who seems to have a fear of blogging (by the number of posts that I have done in over a year is still EXTREMELY minimal), me, is sitting in class blogging rather than giving her full attention to what is going on in class...

I am not saying I am not paying attention, I can multi-task the shit out of this mutha, but I know I would not be too pleased with my students if they did this! So glad they have limited access to the computers! Anyway, now that my rant is over, I will get back to trying to focus on just five things instead of blogging as well.

P.S. to the Spring Break Edition

Meet Cece. She is a little, sweet, eight week old shit head kitty. She isn't a replacement for Charlie in any way, shape, or form, but Sheri needed a little company. Isn't she cute!

Girls Gone Wild, Spring Break edition 2010!

So, it has been a very interesting two weeks. Yes, I have two weeks off for Spring Break because I teach at a year-round school, so all is well! Anyway, I ended up having one hell of an emotional roller coaster ride...

First off, I had to put my sweet, but VERY messed up pooch to sleep. He was becoming more and more aggressive towards people and actually started biting, so we just couldn't take anymore chances. I will miss him terribly, but he is in a better place now. I will forever love my Char Char... May he rest in peace and play in the land over the rainbow with all the other animals that have passed before him.

Then came the shitty realization that men kind of suck. I have talked about recently starting to date, and because I am such a lucky gal, I got stood up twice by the same effing guy. Now, you might be saying, "What? You gave him another chance?" But before you judge, he apologized profusely and said he was scared--new to the online dating thing or something along those lines. Stupid me, I decided to give him another chance, but the effer stood me up again. Thanks good friends both times, I was not left high and dry, but rather just hurt and embarrassed! The kicker is, he is continually calling me asking for another chance! And monkey's may fly out of my ass at that point as well!

But, there is a silver lining of sorts. I have had a TON of fun with Ms. Salti, Rose, Auri, the fam and of course Maddie when she was home for her Spring Break. I love my family and friends, especially how much fun I can have doing absolutely nothing with Ms. Salti. She and I crack ourselves up! And then there was, shall we call him Mr. C. Yet, another man from the internet, but he didn't stand me up, and, the chemistry between us was immediate and intense to say the least. He seems to be a great guy and I am looking forward to seeing where this goes, if anywhere, but I will know that I had some fun along the way and was able to turn the worst Spring Break into one of the best ones EVER!

So, thanks to all my friends, my wonderful family, to Maddie, and to Mr. C. for helping me move on and make the best of a shitty situation. Wow, I can't wait till my next break to see what will happen then!

Friday Night Craftiness

So, here we are... The three flower-teers! Ms. Salti and I have been wanting to make some lovely little hair accessories and we finally decided to get off our fannies an do it! We thought we should invite Maddie as well, since we have taken it on as our personal mission to educate her on the finer things in life (i.e. Janet Jackson videos and songs, Bel Biv Devoe, Too Short, Skittle Ball, general craziness with friends, etc...). Needless to say, she is becoming the most educated 17 year old on thirty-something life!

Anyway, we decided crafting would be a good idear, so after some dinner and ice cream, the crafting commenced! We snipped, cut, glued, pressed, and applied clips, until almost midnight. The delirium set in shortly there after and we made "swim caps" with most of the flowers that we made. Needless to say, there were several more pics that I will not be sharing, but you can only imagine where things went as the Youtube tunes played on...

We have decided to continue our crafting and will be giving a few of these beauties away to our nearest and dearest sometime in the near future. Ms. Salti and I bought a shit ton more flowers to make more lovely hair accessories sometime this weekend hopefully! I will post more pics when we get them done! Till then, take care my loves!

This, That, and the Other...

Good day out there is in Blogland! Okay, so instead of cleaning for the upcoming Olympic party at my casa this evening, I am blogging. WTF? I am such a procrastinator it can be scary.

I have had a couple of very fun weekends since the last weekend of shenanigans, but you can read about them from Ms. Salti or Mrs. Sims. I don't need to recap again. Y'all read them too, so I won't bore you with the details, other than I really do love my friends and the amount of crazy shit we do! We have tons of fun. Can you say that on a weekly basis? Didn't think so!

So, the whole dating thing is still out there. I am just seeing what is out there. I feel that I have I do have a lot to offer, I just need to find someone who is looking for the offering! I am ready to have fun and rearing to go, so bring it on life!

Today was a good day at work. I got to really flex my administrative muscles at the end of the day. I spent much of the day running around like a chicken with my head cut off, but for the last hour and a half of the day I got to suspend four students! Yes, I did say suspend. They were deserving so don't any of you worry about me being to harsh. You might be a little concerned about the power going to my head because I found the whole experience a little empowering! I do have to say that I missed our Friendship/Valentine's Day party (can't call it Valentine's Day when I have three students who don't/can't celebrate holidays), but the kids left me all kinds of goodies on my desk and I even got a singing rose and a mylar balloon shaped like a monkey! What more could a girl ask for? Oh yeah, an effing date on Valentine's Day!
